Terms of service.

Everything on this site is a digital audio file, delivered as a download. Nothing is shipped, and there is no subscription. Only records released on Fly House Records and Bass Heavy Music are sold here, because those are the ones whose masters are owned outright. Everything else in the catalogue is listed for the record and points at whoever does sell it.

A release is priced per track, with lossless WAV costing more than MP3, and a release of four or more tracks priced below the sum of its parts. The price shown at checkout is the price charged; it is recalculated from the catalogue at the moment you pay rather than taken from your browser.

A record that has not yet been prepared for delivery is marked soon and cannot be bought. Nothing is sold before it can be handed over.

Buying a file grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to keep it and to play it, including publicly — in clubs, on radio, in DJ sets and in recorded mixes. That is what these records are for. Copyright stays where it is; you are buying the right to use the recording, not the recording itself.

What the licence does not cover: reselling or redistributing the file, uploading it to a streaming or download service as your own, or putting it in a film, advertisement, game, television programme or cheerleading routine. Those are sync licences and are arranged separately — ask.

Some releases ship with stems — kick, vocal, melody, percussion, effects — and they are included so you can remix. They are not royalty-free, and this is the difference that matters: a sample pack sells you material to use freely, and these are not that. They are the parts of a specific record, licensed for you to work with.

You may build a remix or an edit from them for your own sets. Releasing that remix commercially, or on any platform, needs written permission first, and the underlying recording stays owned. Ask at support@djbambam.com — it is usually a short conversation, and the answer is often yes.

Stems are sold only with their release, never separately. The sample packs are the exception to all of this: an acapella from a Vocal Tools release is sold to be used, on the terms stated with that release.

Files appear on a receipt page immediately after payment clears. Each download link is individually signed and stops working after 15 minutes; reloading the receipt page issues fresh ones. The receipt page itself works for 30 days. Bookmark its address before leaving. Download your files and keep them — the receipt page is a delivery mechanism, not storage.

After 30 days, write in from the address you paid with and the files will be sent over. Nothing is lost.

A downloaded file cannot be returned, so sales are final once a file has been downloaded. That is the rule, and it is not used as a way of avoiding a bad sale.

A refund is given in full where a file is faulty or will not play, where you received the wrong version or the wrong format, where you were charged more than once for the same thing, or where the files could not be delivered at all. Write in before raising a dispute with your bank: a dispute takes weeks and a refund takes minutes.

Mixing, mastering, official remixes and competition cheer mixes are commissioned through the intake form, not bought from this store. Each is quoted per project, and the quote states the deliverables, the number of revisions and the schedule. Nothing is charged until a quote is agreed.

You keep ownership of your own recordings. Sending material for mixing or mastering confirms that you have the right to do so. Finished work is released to you once it has been paid for.

Competition cheer mixes are custom productions built to a routine. Where a mix incorporates existing commercial music, the licensing position for that music is discussed and settled as part of the quote before any work begins — it is not assumed, and it is not left to the customer to discover afterwards.

The catalogue is offered as it is. Files are prepared carefully from the original masters, but no guarantee is made that a recording suits any particular purpose. Liability for anything arising from a purchase is limited to what you paid for it.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Illinois. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Terms can change; the effective date at the top changes with them, and a change never applies backwards to something you have already bought. Questions about any of this go to support@djbambam.com.
